To
optimise the use of his electrical networks, the user needs to be able
to measure and to monitor the parameters of the network, to meter and
manage energy consumption and events, analyse the harmonics, remotely
control the equipments and to communicate with the different components
in his installation. These
two systems can also be connected and communicate with a PC equipped with
our new software:

| The
COUNTIS®
system: energy metering The monitoring of energy consumption is becoming a necessity in the optimising of the cost price of a product within a manufacturing process, or within the controlling of building operating costs. The COUNTIS® system consists of several meters suited to all types of electrical network. The consumptions can be exploited directly on the products' front panels or remotely using their impulse output connected to a concentrator which will then be connected to a PC or a PLC by an RS485 link. The operator will therefore be able to manage this information and draw up load curves or analysis tables. All the products in the COUNTIS® range comply from a metrological point of view with IEC 61036 class 1. This development is due in particular to the arrival of 2 new products: COUNTIS® Atv2 and Ativ2. |

This year, the DIRIS® range has seen the arrival of a new version of DIRIS® Ap integrating the Profibus DP protocol, measurement of neutral current and the displaying of energies and THDs as standard. |

DIRIS®
and COUNTIS® communicate
by RS 485 link and use the JBUS/MODBUS protocol.
CONTROL
VISION offers the possibility of displaying all the electrical
quantities measured, of reading the energy consumptions of a production
line or a furnace. |
This
piece of software can be used by the operator of the communication network,
but also via the Intranet network to provide access for all those interested
to the information stored in the database.
All these
functions can be carried out for one DIRIS®
(corresponding to one output) or a whole group of DIRIS®
units defined in advance (all the outputs relating to a workshop, for
example). The user will also be able to intervene on the configuration
of each device installed on the digital link used by the software. |

Socomec's development
is supported by 80 years' experience in the field of low voltage equipment
and today it is recognised as one of the leading companies in Europe in
energy control and management.
